Sessions 1-6
In each session, we will learn a new technique for creating botanical prints on plant fabrics. We will discover the magic of natural materials and the way they react to plants. We will create runners, fabric pictures, and tablecloths in vibrant and exciting colors.
Sessions 7-8
We will get to know the protein fabrics - silk and wool. We will learn their unique advantages in the world of botanical printing. We will create a delicate silk scarf and a wool runner in natural shades.
Sessions 9-11
We will expand the botanical print to other materials. We will create greeting cards, clay tiles, and learn to combine botanical prints with the blue indigo dye.
Meeting 12
Each participant will create a personal project from the knowledge and techniques learned throughout the course, a project that combines early planning and actual creation from an idea to a complete creation.
