Abraham's Balm is perhaps the most beloved plant in my workshops.
There are about 200 varieties of Abraham's Balm, most of which prefer a tropical climate. Among them, there are 2 wonderful varieties that love the Israeli climate:
- Common Abraham's Balm - known as a medicinal plant.
- Trifoliate Abraham's Balm - a plant that grows in all settlements, often used as a living fence and as an ornamental plant.
In my workshops, I usually bring the second variety because it is more readily available in my natural surroundings. Its leaves have a unique shape, often coming in threes, with one side of the leaf being green and the other side light purple.
Its prints are sharp and exceptionally beautiful, thanks to its vibrant green color. It generously provides its color throughout the year, and anyone who prints its leaves receives a huge smile and an impressive and fascinating result!
You are invited to the spring workshops at Gorinka Studio, to print Abraham's Balm on silk scarves and linen maps. All details are available here.
